38th Buckingham Festival of Music & Drama
19th & 20th November 2010
Welcome to the 38th Buckingham Festival of Music and Drama and to the new Syllabus for 2010. All the information you need to enter the Festival this year should be here on the web site or in the syllabus free to download from the site!
So what’s different from last year? Well, just a couple of things which I need to highlight.
Firstly, we have decided to go back to the University at Chandos Road, a popular venue for the Speech and Drama classes in previous years, and to concentrate at least most of the Music classes at The Royal Latin School (the piano classes will continue to take advantage of the splendid piano at the Radcliffe Centre, of course).
Secondly, we have introduced a new music composition class (Class 300). This is based broadly on GCSE requirements which we hope will give any would-be Mozarts a chance to have a go a few months - or even years - before ‘the real thing’!
At the same time, we are working hard on all the details to make sure the Festival runs even more smoothly than last year.
So if you are a first-timer, don’t be afraid to have a go - we have never heard anybody say that it wasn’t well worth it! If you are a regular, maybe choose something new this year. We have made a special effort to get the Syllabus out earlier to give you as much time as possible to make your plans and get your entry in!
We promise to do everything we can to make your day rewarding and enjoyable. So come and join us - we look forward to seeing you!
